IMPORTANT NOTE – CORONAVIRUS (COVID 19)
ATTENDANCE AT COUNCIL MEETINGS
Following advice from the Government and Public Health England to enforce social distancing and prevent the spread of Coronavirus, it is no longer possible for meetings in groups of more than two to go ahead. For this reason, committees ‘held in public’ are cancelled until further notice.
The Coronavirus Act 2020 passed on 25 March 2020 and subsequent regulations have made it possible for Councils to hold virtual committee meetings. These will be held by exception and determined based on a matter of urgency. The calendar of meetings will provide information on meetings that are going ahead virtually. Details of how members of the public will be able to attend these meetings remotely will be publicised on the Council website at least 24 hours before each meeting takes place.
