Reason Key: Expenditure > £1,000,000;

Decision status: For Determination

Wards affected: (All Wards);

Notice of proposed decision first published: 10/01/2022

This decision will be taken under urgency procedures.

Reason for urgency:
On 16th December 2021 the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities issued guidance to Local Authorities confirming The COVID-19 Additional Relief Fund (CARF), along with funding allocation. Croydon’s share of the funding is £7.4m. This funding is to support those businesses affected by the pandemic but that are ineligible for existing support linked to business rates.

The making of this decision is urgent to allow the council to offer businesses the support they require with their business costs and loss of income during these unprecedented times that have arisen due to COVID 19 pandemic.
