RESOLVED: that the minutes of the Licensing Committees held on Wednesday 16 May and Monday 21 May 2012 be signed as an accurate record of those meetings.

No declarations of interest were made during the meeting.

RESOLVED: that the allocation of business between Part A and Part B of the agenda be confirmed, as printed.

The Committee considered the report of the Executive Director of Planning and Environment proposing the designation of six sites in the Borough as a ‘licence street' for street trading under the provisions of the London Local Authorities Act 1990 (as amended) and, if the designation were agreed, to consider the granting of a street trading licence at that site.

Having considered appendices A-F, and heard representations from the applicants in respect of appendices D and E, the Licensing Committee RESOLVED:

a) that the site on the footway outside 345 Limpsfield Road, Sanderstead, CR2 9BY, be designated for the purposes of street trading, as set out in Appendix A, and that a street trading licence be granted on the Council's standard conditions.

b) that the site on the footway outside 1350 London Road, Norbury, SE16 4DE, be designated for the purposes of street trading, as set out in Appendix B, and that a street trading licence be granted on the Council's standard conditions.

c) that the site on the footway outside 61 South End, Croydon, CR0 1BF, be designated for the purposes of street trading, as set out in Appendix C, and that a street trading licence be granted on the Council's standard conditions.

d) that the site on the footway outside 76-80 Church Street, Croydon, CR0 1RB, be designated for the purposes of street trading, as set out in Appendix D, and that a street trading licence, amended to include household items and travel accessories, be granted on the Council's standard conditions.

e) that the site on the footway outside 44 Thornton Road, Croydon, CR7 6BA, be designated for the purposes of street trading, as set out in Appendix E, and that a street trading licence be granted on the Council's standard conditions.

f) that the site on the footway outside 16a & 16b High Street, Thornton Heath, Surrey, CR7 8BF, be designated for the purposes of street trading, as set out in Appendix F, and that a street trading licence be granted on the Council's standard conditions.
 

RESOLVED: that the Licensing Committee

i. note and commend to Cabinet the list of special treatments shown at Appendix 1 of the report for approval.

ii. note and commend to Cabinet the list of recommended licence exemptions detailed at Appendix 2 of the report for approval.

iii. commend to Cabinet the request that authority be delegated to the Head of Regulatory Services to update the lists at Appendices 1 & 2, should Cabinet approve those initial lists.
